College of Maritime Education Celebrates Maritime Day
After 7 years of dormancy, the College of Maritime Education celebrated its Maritime Day last December 10, 2010. The maritime cadets elected to revive the tradition of the college so as to boost the unity and morale as well as promote fellowship among the cadets. This year’s theme is "Navigating Towards your Dreams."

The day's activities were kicked-off by an Arrival Honor welcoming the Guest of Honor, Capt. Jesus Cabrera, President of SeaTech Maritime Training Center. It was followed by a gift-giving program where grocery items distributed to indigent families from Brgy. 34-A, 34-B and 35 Gabu of Laoag City. A traditional boodle fight participated by the Guest of Honor, faculty and cadet officers of the college ensued at lunchtime.

The evening activities were highlighted by the Maritime Ball where the graduation of the trainees and the pinning of ranks of the cadet officers signifying their promotion were conducted. The festivities also featured parlor games and socials and finished off with a late dinner.
