NWU Foundation Celebrations Open, Starts off with a Worship Service and Unveiling Ceremony
Northwestern University celebrates its foundation day and unveiling ceremony 2023 with the theme “Forging our Future” at the Aquino Multi-Purpose Center (Student Center) and Science Building on January 26.
The foundation anniversary started with the opening program followed by a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of the founding father of Northwestern University, Nicolas N. Nicolas led by the University President, Atty. Ferdinand S. Nicolas.
In the afternoon, university unveils another year that forges new beginnings and embodies the pride of being an institution that inspires the community at large. Followed by performance from PATHfit dance floor winners, an outstanding fireworks display intertwined with upbeat music from the After 6 Band.
“Happy 91st foundation to all, last year we were a witness to unveiling the 10 years to celebrate the 100 years of NWU existence, on this very same ground as we are here today, we are witnessing another milestone, another history, unfolding for the university. As we celebrate the 91st foundation of our beloved institution, we are becoming closer experiencing ambition, hopes and our desires”. Prof. Karl Lenin Benigno in his welcome speech.
