NWU churns out topnotchers in Licensure Examinations

In the last few years, NWU has been producing topnotchers in various fields. NWU is now estimated to be at the 6th percentile among 2,000 HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) in the Philippines in performance in Licensure Examinations. In a study published in www.jbsolis.com, NWU was ranked 120 from the top 130 schools producing board passers nationwide.

In the November 2016 Bar Examinations, Atty. Mark Dave M. Camarao placed 6th. He, along with five other topnotchers of the 2016 Bar Examinations, was thereafter recruited by the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG).

“These topnotchers will reinforce SolGen Calida’s thrust to make the OSG home to the best and the brightest lawyers in the country,” the OSG said, according to a Rappler report.

The report quoted Camarao: “Joining the OSG is a lifelong dream and to act as counsel for the Republic of the Philippines,” pointing out that “being a government lawyer is the ‘highest form of service.’”

In 2018, Maritime students Allan Saep Francisco and Christian Rey Ulit Peralta topped the MARINA Board Examinations. Their scores were 98.9% and 97.9%, respectively.

In the March 2016 Licensure Examinations for Medical Technologists, Precious Mae B. Ballesteros ranked 7th. She later on passed the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Licensure Examinations.

Other NWU topnotchers include Arch. Lucky Jay C. Mercado who placed 8th in the June 2015 Licensure Examinations for Architects, Cherizza Flor Clemente who was the 7th Placer for Region 1 in the Licensure Examinations for Midwifery in 2015, and Jobelle Kasper Agmata, the 3rd Placer for the Licensure Examinations for Nursing in 2014.
