NWU Kicks Off AY 2018-2019

College students of the university, including around 1800 freshmen and transferees, were welcomed at NWU on August 6, 2018.

The first flag ceremony of the academic year was held in front of the Nicolas N. Nicolas Building at 8 AM. The president and administrators welcomed the students and announced “New Beginnings” as the theme for the year. Afterwards the First Day Blast program commenced which included performances from Sardam and Saguday Performing Arts Groups, a Need Help Booth by the Supreme Student Council, as well some mini games facilitated by NWU’s Marketing Office.

“Masaya pala talaga dito sa NWU”, a freshmen quipped. On August 17, the freshmen orientation program “Freshmenia” will be held to formally welcome the new students and brief them about their new lives as Northwesternians.
