CAS, SHS bets win Mr. and Miss NWU 2019
The College of Arts and Sciences’ bet Heaven King Gapuzan and Senior High representative Regine Mae Pante were crowned Mr. and Miss Northwestern University 2019 during the spectacular Mr. and Miss Northwestern University Coronation Night held last January 26, 2019. The event was part of the institution’s 87th Foundation Anniversary, with the students—led by SSC President Romel Gerson—organizing the pageant.
Being the new faces of NWU, the winners will be working on their advocacies: fighting school-based depression (Gapuzan), and promoting the After-Class Learning Program (Pante), during their reign.
Mr. and Miss Northwestern University 1st Runners-up were Diosdado Ben Dumlao (SHS) and Ana Mae Manuel (CTE); 2nd Runners-up were Joshua Salaan (COME) and Jay Laurence Agonias (CAS); and 3rd runners-up were Renz Marion Rosales (CCJE) and Rhey Ann Molina (COBE).
The Saguday Chorale, Saguday Dancers and Saguday Tambureros provided excellent entertainment for the energetic crowd, rooting for their bets.
