HistoryFor the past few years, there has been an increase in the demand of highly trained professional personnel in the clinical, research and teaching laboratories. Industrial microbiology has so much to contribute with the desire of the government to go for an industrialized nation. Extensive training could only be afforded through a technology program which could provide extensive knowledge and sufficient training for the development of skills necessary for the attainment of such goal and to meet the changing time and global competition. It is within this context that the administration applied for a permit to operate a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology program and was granted a temporary permit by the Commission on Higher Education on June 15, 1999, Temporary Permit No. 027 s. 1999. The college started with eleven (11) first year students. An Officer-in-charge was assigned in the person of Gregoria S. Najorda. Equipped with functional laboratories and research center strengthened by efficient and competitive faculty members and placement program, the institution is optimistic that the program will prosper.
